Question Answered: My engine has lost presure in one compression chamber in engine. What can I do?
July 06, 2016, 09:48 PM
is your warranty out ,it has 100,000 miles on engine and drive train otherwise get rid of the car the starting thing has nothing to do with compression it sounds as if you need a new starter take it to auto zone they will test the starter. also your battery may be charged but still not have enough juice to kick it over.

It's not your ABS it is probably your power assist best to let a pro check your brakes lives depend on it.
Question Answered: Its hard to start and when it does it stals soudders and dies what could it be?

Check out your Throttle Position sensor you can pick one up on eBay for about 15.00 also your I.A.C. is probably dirty need to open it up and clean it out use brake cleaner and while you are at it cleanup your map control that's the item that is in the hoses from your air filter to your throttle body again use brake parts cleaner also have you had it scanned go to Auto Zone they will scan it for you and tell you whats going on. Do not attempt any of this if you have no experience as you will definitely create problems for your self.
Question Answered: What can I do to rid myself of a PO172 Bank 1 code on my 2002 Chevy venture??
November 20, 2012, 04:23 AM
are you sure you adjusted the mixture of air to fuel as this is the only thing except you may be having a problem with a gasket on your intake manifold . This was a very common problem for this motor and the years 2001 - 2003. Check it again and or take it to one of the auto parts dealers that do the free check sometimes you just need to reset your computer which can be done bt disconnecting your fuse box under the hood for about 20 minutes and see if it comes on, as you said you repaired what it called for so they don't always reset automaticaly

If you have to ask this question seriously hire a mechanic as you should not attempt this type of repair it isn't an oil change
Question Answered: dead battery( 9 only in garage- 3 times)
April 01, 2011, 09:21 AM
You have a dead short somewhere in your electrical system it is most likely in or around your fuse panel as it is draining it while parked it will take someone that works exclusively on electrical systems to find this the only other solution is putting a kill swith right at the battery so when you shut of the vehicle you throw another switch and it cuts off the battery supply to everything . But I would have it checked as it could maybe cause a fire someday

Question Answered: I am looking to buy a 2001 Volvo S60 2.4. Should I have any major conerns?
April 01, 2011, 09:13 AM
Take it to a mechanic you trust have him run a diagnostic check and OH by the way they have that Car service that runs a check on motor vehicles it costs 25.00 probably the best money you will spend it is called something like carcheex but just lookit up all the used car dealers use them will tell you if there has been any major work or if it has been in a bad accident some cars are cars that have been literally cut in half and welded together with the other end then body fixed and painted then it is sold be careful do your homework

You have something floating in your tank and when it gets down that low it gets sucked up to the fuel line easiest fix is keep gas above the 1/4 tank level .Pulling tank and checking it will be an expensive proposition
