Check the fans. Make sure they are on when A/C is turned on.
Question Answered: air conditioner stopped blowing cold air

Good luck on running this down. I just had the same issue, and after changing a few switches in the engine, I narrowed it down to the fan motors. I replaced both of them.(a/c and radiator cooling fans). Saved myself a ton of money. Check all your fuses and relays first, and then make sure your fan motors turn on when you turn the a/c on. If they don't come on, either the motors are bad, or the switch that tells them to turn on is bad.
Question Answered: check engine light stays on

Hope you're still not driving it that way. Take it to the shop.
Never a good idead to keep driving the car if check engine light is on.
Take it to autozone or equivalent and have then run the code for you. Should do it for free, or small charge. They can tell you what the OBDII is flagging.
Question Answered: What is cost of transmission replacement on this car- automatic
October 16, 2010, 05:49 AM
It all depends on where you have it done. I just replaced mine at the dealer and the original quote for a rebuilt thru dealer was 3,400$. I made the service manager ask for assistance from Honda and they gave it to me for $2,800, but my car also had 155K. If yours is younger, you might get more help from Honda. It also came with a 3yr/36,000 warranty. Main reason I went with dealer. So far so good, runs okay.

Problem Reported: Transmission Failure Common
May 27, 2010, 11:08 AM

Automatic transmission failures are common, Automatic transmission failure on these vehicles will generally require overhaul or replacement of the transmission. In the event of a failure, it may be worthwhile to check with Honda to see if they may offer assistance for this repair. As these vehicles age, Honda has become less likely to help out with these transmission related repairs.

Car Review: 2002 Honda Accord
October 16, 2010, 05:41 AM
Gotta say, I'm surprised!!! Read through all the reviews and can't believe all the issues. Honda is supposed to be solid, but it seems otherwise. My brakes did make it to 50k before replacement, and the rotors lasted till 75K. But, now that it's 8yr old with 155k, it's all falling apart. AC issues, and just replaced transmission $$$$$$. The interior and exterior holding up well, so new tranny better get me another 100k, but reading all these reviews i'm not so sure.
If need new tranny, make service manager ask Honda for Assistance, they will put up some of the cost. 20% for me. Helped a little. Good luck.
