Suck it up, buy a new tranny or drive it off a cliff.
Question Answered: Air conditioning

Check the fans. Make sure they are on when A/C is turned on.
Question Answered: air conditioner stopped blowing cold air
October 16, 2010, 05:55 AM
Good luck on running this down. I just had the same issue, and after changing a few switches in the engine, I narrowed it down to the fan motors. I replaced both of them.(a/c and radiator cooling fans). Saved myself a ton of money. Check all your fuses and relays first, and then make sure your fan motors turn on when you turn the a/c on. If they don't come on, either the motors are bad, or the switch that tells them to turn on is bad. Good luck.
Question Answered: check engine light stays on
October 16, 2010, 05:52 AM
Hope you're still not driving it that way. Take it to the shop. Never a good idead to keep driving the car if check engine light is on. Take it to autozone or equivalent and have then run the code for you. Should do it for free, or small charge. They can tell you what the OBDII is flagging.
Question Answered: What is cost of transmission replacement on this car- automatic
October 16, 2010, 05:49 AM
It all depends on where you have it done. I just replaced mine at the dealer and the original quote for a rebuilt thru dealer was 3,400$. I made the service manager ask for assistance from Honda and they gave it to me for $2,800, but my car also had 155K. If yours is younger, you might get more help from Honda. It also came with a 3yr/36,000 warranty. Main reason I went with dealer. So far so good, runs okay.
Problem Reported: Warped Front Brake Rotors May Cause Vibration When Braking
September 15, 2010, 10:07 PM

The front brake rotors can warp and cause a vibration when braking. You will feel vibrations in the brake pedal and the steering wheel. The rotors should be replaced to correct this issue. Using high-quality rotors is highly recommended. The OEM parts are best for brake repairs but some aftermarket rotors can work well. It's always good to ask your mechanic to use rotors they've seen the best results from.

Problem Reported: Check Engine and D4 Lights Flashing
May 27, 2010, 11:08 AM

Honda Accord models may develop shifting issues with the automatic transmission accompanied by warning lights.

Rough shifting may occur, and the “D4” light and check engine may begin to blink. The check engine light will also illuminate, and OBD trouble codes P0700, P0730, P0740, P0780, P1768 and/or P1768 will be stored in the computer.

If the transmission shifts roughly, the failure is very likely mechanical failure of the transmission. If the transmission performs normally, a faulty sensor, or dirty transmission fluid may be the case.

In most cases, it is necessary to use professional diagnostic equipment to provide a diagnosis, and complete the repair.

The longevity of the transmission is dependent on strict adherence to the manufacturer's recommendation for ATF replacement intervals and procedure.

Car Review: 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca

Car Review: 2002 Honda Accord
October 16, 2010, 05:41 AM
Gotta say, I'm surprised!!! Read through all the reviews and can't believe all the issues. Honda is supposed to be solid, but it seems otherwise. My brakes did make it to 50k before replacement, and the rotors lasted till 75K. But, now that it's 8yr old with 155k, it's all falling apart. AC issues, and just replaced transmission $$$$$$. The interior and exterior holding up well, so new tranny better get me another 100k, but reading all these reviews i'm not so sure. If need new tranny, make service manager ask Honda for Assistance, they will put up some of the cost. 20% for me. Helped a little. Good luck.
