February 25, 2009, 12:45 PM
The lights on my dashboard don't work most the time for the a/c controls but occasionally work. Any idea why this would be?

Question Asked: Accord brakes squeaking
January 15, 2009, 08:52 PM
I think my brakes are wearing out. There is a high pitch squeak in the front when I put the brakes on. I am thinking about just putting pads on but I don't know what kind of pads to get. Any ideas? Also can I do this job in my driveway with basic tools?

Car Review: 2007 Volvo XC70
January 18, 2009, 01:06 PM
Got the XC70 for my wife. This replaces her old 1999 V70. We bought it used (only 1 year old) and so far its been great! I had a tail light randomly go out but that was a quick fix. The engine is pretty good but feels sluggish because the car is a tad heavy. It could get better gas mileage but I guess that's fine since gas is cheap again (for now). Haven't needed an major repairs but the car is young.
Car Review: 1996 Toyota Tacoma
January 18, 2009, 12:55 PM
Since day 1 my Tacoma has been a work truck. I fitted a rack on the roof, a camper shell, wench, etc and have used this truck day in and day out for hauling. The engine is still pulling strong with over 176k miles on it. The clutch is going but it's held up until now. The suspension squeaks but I have the original shocks. I'll probably drive this Tacoma until it has 200k miles on it then get myself another. Definitely recommend Toyota trucks!
Car Review: 1999 Acura CL
January 04, 2009, 11:01 PM
I have the 2.3 liter 4 cylinder CL and it has held up really well. I debated getting an Accord but I decided to treat myself to the CL and have not regretted it. The brakes are strong and the engine gets almost 28 mpg on the highway. Not bad for a luxury coupe. The leather seats have cracked a bit but that is fairly normal for a 10 year old car. It hasn't really needed any repairs that were unexpected except the motor mounts that have gone out twice. Make sure to get the timing belt changed (and the water pump too) as it says in the owners' manual so you don't have to have a valve job. That happened to my cousin.
