Gullwing Guy

I started out on VW's when I was 17. Bought my first Mercedes when I was 19 and then I went to work on them. My third Mercedes was a Gullwing when I was 21. I Learned under the master of Mercedes, Jerry Fairchild, at his Bosch fuel injection repair facility. This was when I was 26. We were often called to factory dealers to instruct them in fuel injection repairs. Then I tought mechanics at the VW, Porsche, Audi factory training school for several years. I have a Mercedes Shop in Heber City, Utah, for 35 years and while Mercedes are not perfect, I still think they are the best marque out there. Oh, that Gullwing, I loved it so much, I bought a second one. Yep, I still have every Mercedes I've ever owned, oldest 1949 newest 2002. All 15 still garaged, even the 300SL's. When the weather is good I still drive a 1964 111 coupe and love it.
