Supercharger

A supercharger is a mechanically driven air compressor that forces air into the engine’s induction system. This provides more oxygen to the cylinders for increased power from the combustion process.

Symptoms of a Bad or Failing Supercharger

  • Check Engine Light may come on
  • Lack of power
  • Abnormal noise

Supercharger Related Repair Advice

  • When the supercharger is replaced, the drive belt and tensioner should be inspected and replaced if need be
