Actions: Replacement of the Automatic Transmission or Manual Transmission Fluid. Replacement of the Transfer Case Fluid*.

Why this is Needed:

  • Transmission fluid, both manual and automatic, has a life expectancy and will need to be changed. Both fluids break down over time and can loose the initial properties causing shifting issues if the fluids are not changed when needed
  • Automatic transmission fluid lubricates the internal parts of the transmission, provides hydraulic power for shifting and helps to cool the transmission
  • Manual transmission fluid lubricates the bearings and gears as well as adding the needed additives to help the transmission shift smoothly
  • Transfer Case Fluid over time loses the ability to properly lubricate the transfer unit gears and needs periodic replacement*
