GM OBD Trouble Code 93
Transmission Pressure Control solenoid circuit error
The ECM monitors the amperage draw of the transmission pressure control solenoid. Code 93 will set when the amperage draw does not meet factory specifications. The pressure control solenoid allows the ECM to regulate the fluid pressure inside the transmission based on the conditions at any given time.
Fault Code Description
- 93 - Transmission Pressure Control solenoid circuit error
Symptoms
- Transmission may shift very firmly if the ECM cannot control line pressure
Common Problems
- Faulty Transmission Pressure Control solenoid
- Open or shorted wiring to Transmission Pressure Control solenoid
