Fuel pump circuit low voltage

The ECM monitors the voltage to the fuel pump from the fuel pump relay. If the voltage is below specification code 54 will set.

Fault Code Description

• 54 - Fuel pump circuit low voltage

Symptoms

• Engine may not start

Common Problems

• Failed fuel pump relay
  
• Failed ECM

Digital EGR valve solenoid 2 error

On vehicles with three solenoid EGR valves an open or short on the solenoid 2 circuit will set code 54.

Fault Code Description

• 54 - Digital EGR valve solenoid 2 error

Symptoms

• EGR solenoid 2 will not function
  

Common Problems

• Broken wire to EGR valve
• Faulty EGR valve
