The Jeep Compass and the Jeep Renegade are both small, two-row SUVs. The Compass is sized between a subcompact and a compact SUV, while the Jeep Renegade is a smaller, subcompact SUV. Both of them come with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive.
Engine options in the Compass consist of a single 180-horsepower engine. The Renegade has a standard engine with 160 horsepower, and an optional 180-horsepower version that is the same as the Compass’ engine. There’s not much difference between them in this area.
When it comes to cargo space, the larger Jeep Compass has an advantage, holding 59.8 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. The smaller Jeep Renegade makes do with 50.8 cubic feet behind the front row. That’s a significant difference.
If you’re considering both of these Jeeps, think about what you will be using your vehicle for, and the environment where you live. The larger Jeep Compass has lots more space inside, but the smaller Jeep Renegade is easier to park and navigate if you live in an urban area where space is limited.
