The Nissan Rogue and the Honda CR-V are both compact, two-row SUVs. They both come with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive.
The Nissan Rogue’s standard engine has 170 horsepower, with a gasoline-electric hybrid system as an option. The CR-V’s standard 184-horsepower engine is more powerful, and a 190-horsepower engine is available as an option.
In terms of cargo space, it’s advantage CR-V. The Honda has 75.8 cubic feet of space with the rear seats folded, while the Rogue only has 70 cubic feet — despite being a longer vehicle. The CR-V has better space utilization.
The Nissan Rogue and the Honda CR-V both do everything pretty well, especially if you plan to stay on paved roads. Neither is a great off-road vehicle for anything but light-duty trail excursions. The Honda does have better overall crash safety ratings, but the Rogue comes standard with driver assistance features that include a blind spot warning system and rear cross-traffic alert.
Choosing between these two worthy vehicles requires a closer look at each, as well as a thorough test drive. Then you can decide which you prefer.
