Cadillac Escalade RecallsFront Suspension Control Arm Welds Fail
The front suspension upper control arms may have welds that are not sufficient, resulting in separation of the arm from the bushing. Dealers will replace both the left and right upper control arms and realign the vehicle suspension free of charge to resolve the concern.
The ignition switch actuator can bind causing the ignition switch to stick in the "start" position. If this were to occur the actuator can unexpectedly release, cause the ignition switch to snap back into the "Accessory" position. This would cause the engine to turn off with an associated loss of brake and steering power assist. If these conditions were to lead to a crash the airbags may not deploy as expected. Dealers will inspect and replace the ignition lock housing as necessary to correct this concern.
The instrument panel top cover on the passenger frontal air bag may have been manufactured using an incorrect spacer fabric, resulting in the air bag not deploying properly. Dealers will replace the instrument panel top cover free of charge to resolve the concern.
