What Does P2103 Code Mean?

OBD-II Code P2103 is defined as a Throttle Actuator "A" Control Motor Circuit High

The throttle motor opens and closes the throttle plate, allowing more or less air to flow through the engine based on the driver's request for power. The throttle motor is controlled by the engine computer (PCM). If the PCM does not see the requested movement from the throttle motor, code P2103 will set. The PCM may also put the engine into "limp home mode", limiting the available power from the engine to prevent unwanted acceleration.

P2103 Symptoms

  • Decreased engine performance
  • Engine may enter limp home mode (reduced performance)

Common Problems That Trigger the P2103 Code
