What Does P0571 Code Mean?
OBD-II Code P0571 is defined as a Brake Switch "A" Circuit
The Brake Switch tells the engine control module (PCM) that the brake pedal is depressed. This switch also controls the brake lights. If the PCM detects the vehicle is slowing down without the brake light switch telling the PCM the pedal is depressed, the PCM will set code P0571.
