OBD-II Code Cooling fans may stay on all the time is defined as a A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance

The engine control module (PCM) uses pressure sensors to monitor the high pressure side of the A/C System. When the pressure gets high, the PCM will command the cooling fans on. If the PCM detects an irrational signal from the sensor, it will set code P0531.
