What Does P0231 Code Mean?
OBD-II Code P0231 is defined as a Fuel Pump Secondary Circuit Low
The Fuel Pump enables the transfer of fuel from the fuel tank to the fuel injectors in the engine. The Fuel Pump is controlled by the engine computer (PCM) or the Fuel Pump Control Module (most newer vehicles). When the Ignition is turned on, the PCM or Fuel Pump Control Module will activate the fuel pump. If the PCM detects an incorrect signal to or from the fuel pump, it will set code P0231.
