Question
my 92 prelude just all of a sudden died on me the other day and now it just wont start but the lights inside of the car still turns on and it makes this clicking noise i want to know is it the alternator or is it the starter
Answer #1
Just because your lights inside come on doesn't mean your battery is at full charge. You need to take a volt meter & check for at least 12.65 volts. If you don't have that you need to put a charger on the battery. If you can not achieve that voltage then you need to have the battery checked out. If you have at least 12.65 volts then I would look at the starter as the problem.
Answer #2
i have a 92 prelude with intermittant starting issues- a few stalls while driving also. i have had the starter replaced and looking like igniton switch have you ruled that out?
Answer #3
Check your main relay. probably needs to be re soldered
