Check Engine Light/Misfire Due to Intake Valve Locks/Valves
An engine misfire at idle (rough idle), accompanied by illumination or flashing of the Check Engine Light, could indicate a problem with one or more of the intake valves. Revised intake valves & valve locks are available to address this concern.
Front/Rear Differential Pinion Seal/Transfer Case Leaks are Common
Leaks at the front and/or rear differential pinion seal and from the transfer case are common. Low fluid level in the differential or transfer case can result in bearing failure. Damaged bearings commonly cause a whine or growl type noise.
The Sky Slider Sunroof May Not Open
The sky slider sunroof may not open. A software upgrade for the control module is available which should correct this concern.
Noisy or Failed Power Door Locks
If the power door locks are buzzing or are intermittently noisy, a new door latch assembly may solve this. The door lock actuators are integrated into the latch assemblies.
Moisture May Collect in PCV System and Freeze in Cold Climates
The 3.7L V6 and 4.7L V8 in very cold climates (below freezing temperatures) moisture can collect in the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system and freeze. This will cause various drivability problems and there are revised PCV system components to repair this concern.
The Sky Slider Sunroof May Develop a Wind Noise and/or Loss of "Express" Mode
The sky slider sunroof may develop a wind noise and/or loss of "express" mode. Our technicians tell us that lubrication the front drive cables, replacing the front header bow, and initializing the sunroof module will generally correct these concerns.

Broken exhaust manifold bolts can create an exhaust leak; the exhaust manifold gaskets and bolts should be replaced.
Popping or Groan Noise When Opening or Closing One or More of the Vehicle Doors
A popping or groan type noise may occur when opening or closing one or more of the vehicle doors. This may be caused bu insufficient lube on the lower hinge roller axle. Applying a small amount of grease between the roller pin and the inside surface should correct this concern. Our technicians tell us if the grease is not applied in the correct location, the noise will remain.
The Manual Transmission May Jump Out of Gear
The manual transmission may jump out of gear. Our technicians tell us that replacing the 1-2 synchronizer assembly should correct this concern.
The Fuel Tank is Hard to Fill and/or the Fuel Fill Nozzle Shuts Off Repeatedly While Fueling
The fuel tank may become hard to fill and/or the fuel fill nozzle may shut off repeatedly while fueling. Our technicians tell us that various items including the fuel tank, vapor recirculation tube, fuel fill tube, or EVAP system canister control valve may be at fault. Proper diagnoses will be required to determine the exact cause of this concern.
Engine Will not Start Due to Wireless Control Module Fault
A no crank or no start condition may develop due to electronic lockup of the wireless control module (WCM), also referred to as the Sentry Key Remote Entry Module (SKREEM). When this module fails the remote keyless entry system will also not operate. The WCM is commonly replaced to correct this concern.
