Engine Does Not Start and PCM Fault Code Stored
When a no start condition is caused by a faulty camshaft or crankshaft sensor, related fault codes stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) should not be trusted. A gear whine or whistling type noise heard when accelerating or coasting between approximately 65mph and 85mph may actually be caused by an improperly seated steering column boot. The steering column boot seals the steering shaft as it passes through the firewall.
Orange Crust Formation Due to Leak at Coolant Bleeder Valve
For the sedan trim only, Coolant can leak at the coolant bleeder valve and is usually evident because of an orange crust formation on the housing. A revised bleeder and housing is available to correct this problem.
The Check Engine Light may Illuminate Erroneously
"False" trouble codes may cause erroneous illumination of the Check Engine Light. Updating the PCM software can often correct this concern.

Must Use Correct Oil Filter, Two 2.4L Engines Use Different Filters
It is important to use the correct oil filter in the 4 cylinder engine. There are two different 2.4L engines, which use different filters. The 2.4L in the coupe is made by Mitsubishi motors while the 2.4L in the sedan is made by Chrysler. Using the incorrect filter can result in engine damage as a result of oil loss.
