Occasionally, the Check Engine Light is illuminated due to failures in the evaporative emission (EVAP) system. Our technicians tell us that proper diagnoses is generally required to confirm the exact fault causing the warning light to come on.
I am the original owner and still love this car. Solid ride, no squeaks, and still can tear ass. One night, the Check Engine light and BOTH VSC lights came on. I paniced. I looked in the owner's manual and it said I could continue to drive the car, but to be aware that the VSC was was not enabled. Currently driving on Potenzas with 75lbs sand bag in trunk during winters. Getting stuck in 4" snow once every winter. I love the car and do not wish to tinker with extra winter tires. Can someone recommend better all season tires based on experience?

2006 Lexus GS430 Recalls
The fuel pressure sensor monitors fuel pressure for optimum engine performance and emission controls. Lexus has found that some of these sensors can loosen from the fuel line, which may cause the sealing gasket to leak fuel. To prevent this from occurring in the future, your Lexus dealer will ensure that these sensors are properly fastened. No schedule of owner notification is available at this time.
A seal between the master cylinder and brake booster may fail and allow fluid to leak into the brake booster. This can cause reduced braking performance. Dealers will replace the seal with a newly designed one free of charge to resolve the concern.
Ethanol fuels with a low moisture content will corrode the internal surface of the aluminum fuel delivery pipes. As the condition progresses, the Check Engine Light may illuminate and/or a fuel leak could develop under the hood. Any fuel leak increases the risk of a fire. Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel delivery pipes as necessary. This recall is expected to begin during February 2009. The Lexus recall number is 9LA.

Hated the run flat tire ....Replaced them at 8,000. miles best thing I ever did but costly ! love the ride now
Beautiful automobile. Smooth, crisp handling at the flick of a switch. Yet a very comfortable ride, once I got rid of the run flats.
I've enjoy this car
