If the <span class="ct_glossary tooltip">valve cover gasket</span> leaks, <span class="ct_glossary tooltip">o</span><span class="ct_glossary tooltip">i</span><span class="ct_glossary tooltip">l</span> can pool where the ignition wire resistor connects to the <a id="ce_100" class="ct_glossary tooltip" href="/spark-plug">spark plug</a>. The resistor can fail and the <span class="ct_glossary tooltip">spark plug</span> may not fire because of a short circuit through the oil.</p>
