This car has an automatic transmition....when i shift from park to drive the shifter barley stays in drive and if i just touch the handle forward it will come out of drive and into neutral. It doesnt fall out of drive its sensitive and feels like it needs to be adjusted. What could i do tofix this

The car starts fine and uns good but idles rough. Whats could be wrong? Sensors or something? I changed out all the spark plugs and the distributor cap and rotor. The spark plug cables are new aswell. I took it guy and he put it on a hand held device that read two codes from check engine light.

I flushed the radiator coolant, i replaced the thermostat, i checked for leaks, i checked the water pump and radiator are good and running. Why does it still overheat????!?!?

An easy way to figure ouy if you can fix it before you take it to amechanic is by purchasing a new brake switch abd replacing it. ...If that doesnt work then you problem will be very costly....

I had same problem and i ended up breaking my shifter off...thus i changed the brake switch and it fixed it. The brake awitch is located at under or behind the brake peddal... Itlike a ten dollar part at your local parts store and you can do it yourself. If the problem persist then its yourignition modual or stearing collum. But by he sound of it its a brake switch.
