Question Asked: My truck "shudders" and shakes when reversing in a turn and when moving forward.

In turns when reversing or moving forward, the truck shakes and "shudders." It is fine going in a straight line either way. I was told by my mechanic that this may be a transfer case problem, but he said he is not a "Trans Guy." Can I drive it a little while longer before this needs immediate attention or can I drive it another 2K or so, to save up some $$. The truck has just over 162K on it, and I don't think there was any transmission problems before this.
Car Review: 1992 Acura Vigor

Bought a fairly clean GS model with a 5-speed 1/12. Replaced ball joints. tie rods, and still needed more front end work! The ride in general is OK, but these cars need to be babied! Hope you have a lot of cash for repairs if you like these cars. The 5 cylinder engine is peppy and slightly hesitant on the 1st gear response. The front seats fit tight like a sports car and forget about room in the back seat! Had fun with this 5-speed model while I owned it for 7 months, but it made me go broke! Buyer beware!
Car Review: 2000 Chevrolet Blazer

Bought a 2000 LT model, fully loaded, less the sunroof 4/12. First it needed a "vent valve," gas cap, and a gas filler neck to shut off the "Service Engine Soon" light. Then I replaced brakes and lower ball joints. Then, the "service engine soon" light comes on a day after I had the brakes and lower ball joints done. Was told it was "not replacing the gas cap properly." OK, so then a week later, I noticed that when you reverse and turn the steering wheel tightly on the process, it "drags" almost like you are in full 4 wheel drive mode. Was told by the mechanic that it sounds like a transmission problem and take it to Aamco to do the free estimate. Aamco told me that the gears in the front axle were "binding up" and with time (approximately 1 year or so), that this will drag on the Trans. and "fry" out the transmission. $1100.00 was the quote I got from Aamco to fix the "spider gears" in the differential, plus labor. This all happened within a 3 month period! Stay away from these Blazers! Their big 4.3 Liter V6 engines are good, but it totally ends there!
Car Review: 1993 Ford Probe

Bought my 1993 Probe SE 4 cyl 2.0 litre 16 valve 5 speed (teal blue/black cloth interior) on New Years Eve in 1995 with 27K miles and sold it in 2003 with 176K when it was still running great! Great/dependable car, with little maintenance needed throughout the years! The SE model came fairly loaded, but I added a flip up/take off sunroof that was installed by Ziebart (yes! the undercoating guys!) and they did a very clean/wonderful job! Excellent snow traction, smooth, quiet ride, sits low like a sports car, and fun to drive. This year model had some fading paint issues from Ford, so maybe you can pick up a model that had a re-spray. My only real complaint was the wheel bearings that went out at about 70K but they were covered under the extended warranty. Just maintained regular maintentance with oil changes/brakes/battery/tires, and you couldn't ask for much more dependability! Mazda engines still rocked in the early 90's! These are little rocket/thumpers and very fun to drive with a manual transmission! I would buy another one if I can find one that wasn't beat to death! You take care of this car, and it will take care of you! WARNING! Don't buy the 6 cylinder, 2.5 liter! That engine leaks antifreeze into the oil, leading to blown head gaskets or worse!
