Yes it can destroy the axle but in some cases you can get a replacement bearing that will ride on a different part of the axle and save buying an axle.

The A/C drain is most likely pluged the condensation is not draining.

Stop leak will most likely not stop the leak, and if it is leaking on a belt the fluid will make the belt slip and you will need another belt, you will need to find out where the leak is coming from and fix it.
