Question Asked: Losing Pressure to my Brakes When Turn Car On
July 30, 2010, 12:39 AM
Hello, I've been working on my brakes for the past two days, had the common rotor wear (bumpy stops) and have the struts making for a bumpy ride (again common because, it's got 170k miles on it). However, I just had the front brakes done, the lines bled new calipers and mouting brackets as well as rotors and pads put on. My brake fluid is full to the gills with no air in the lines. I have pressure going to the brake pedal when the car is off but the second I turn the car off I'm losing pressure instantly and have to have the pedal to the floor to even have some sense of brakes. Any ideas on what it could be???

I've been dealing with brake issues for the past two days with my Saturn and I was told that all parts from 93 - 02 were the same with the exception of station wagons, so I'm assuming they will switch over.

Hello, just had the same problem well...I had it for the three months I've owned the car up until about two weeks ago when my dad mentioned to me it was probably the relay switch in the fuse box that went bad. It was pretty cheap only $8.88 at napa and it pops in just like a fuse. My fan works like a dream and don't have to worry about overheating.
