I'm 57 yrs old and have owned several vehicles. I've worked on my vehicles and have had good success in keeping them maintained. I've replaced motors, transmissions, put in third members in the rear ends..so I'm not without experience here. My first time on working on a manual transmission was pulling an enclosed driveshaft style 3 sp transmission out of 1950 Chevy, Deluxe Cab PU. The 2nd gear had gone out on it and I took another transmission apart and put in the old 2nd gear and fixed it! I was 15 then!
