Question Asked: How do I determine the most probable cause of a starting problem?
October 02, 2013, 02:08 PM
I have a problem starting only rarely. The engine always turns over so it is not the battery but once in a while the engine does not catch. When it does start, everything appears normal. Because each spark coil is directly over each spark plug, I cannot use my timing light. What is the most probable defect and how should I check?
Question Asked: How do you remove the radio from a 1991 Honda Accord LX?

I removed the ash tray and plate below the radio but there are no screws visible to remove the radio. There are 2 screws going vertically up into the radio but they are so far in back they cannot be reached. The clearance space is only 2 inches by 5 inches deep. I got a print-out from the dealer and it shows that the front instrument panel must be removed. This is not so. Maybe this is another version of the Accord.

Question Asked: Cooling water
August 21, 2010, 12:30 PM
After I do about 50 miles and turn off the engine, I hear the water boiling and I see the overflow going into the overflow resevoir. After the engine cools off, the water apparently is sucked back into the radiator. Sometimes the water is low in the radiator. If I add water to the resevoir and radiator, if neccessary, the same thing happens over again. The temp guage is normal and I recently changed the thermostat but there is no improvement. Most of my driving is local street trips and now I am affraid to take it on the freeway. The problem is about 3 -6 months. No other problems.
