84yo reasonable intelligent male w 2003 Used VW Jetta Wagon automatic with engine lite on steady for past 9 months. 175k miles in fairly good condition. Had a few dash lites go on. Several cooling, thermostat, brakes calipers fixed. Lites went off, then 9 mo ago engine dash lite back on. Quick 1 tenth-second squeak when starting. No other sound. Repair chief thinks it might be the Secondary Air Injector Pump.
