Saturn Aura ProblemsTransmission Fault and/or Check Engine Light With Code P0716, P0776, P0717, P0777, P2714, P2715, and/or P02723
Vehicles with a 6speed automatic transmission may develop one or more of the following faults related to a broken 35R clutch wave plate inside the transmission: Illumination of the Check Engine Light with code P0716, P0776, P0717, P0777, P2714, P2715, and/or P02723, loss of reverse gear, slipping or harsh 3rd or 5th gear shift. Removal and dis-assembly of the transmission will be required to replace the broken 35R wave plate. It is also extremely important that all debris from the failed part be cleaned from the transmission while it is disassembled in order to try and prevent future problems.
The fuel gauge may not read correctly and/or the Check Engine Light may illuminate with code P0455/P0461 stored for a fuel level sensor issue. These faults may be caused by a fuel vapor line inside the fuel take interfering with the fuel level sensor. If this is found to be the case, repositioned and securing the vapor line should correct this concern. If no fault is found with the fuel vapor line, the fuel level sensor itself may be at fault.
A Loose or worn gas cap may cause Check Engine Light to illuminate.
Saturn Aura Questionsp1682 code, along with p0102 p0113 (1 answer)
help me find out what this means.
water is pooling on the floorboards. I checked the sunroof and did not see any leaks. Water did come out the side spout. I need to see if maybe it is the a/c hose leaking, how can I find that hose inside the car? I pulled to panel off and only seen the fuse box. Help carpets are starting to stink.
It makes no noise like if the battery was dead and it happens everytime i run it and and if I keep trying after a little it won't turn on till I leave it alone for a couple hours
Saturn Aura RecallsVarious Electrical Concerns
Increased resistance in an electrical connection at the body control module (BCM) may result in voltage fluctuations in the brake pedal sensor circuit. These fluctuations can cause concerns with various systems that monitor the position of the brake pedal, any of which would increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will attach the wiring harness to the BCM with a spacer, apply dielectric lubricant to both the BCM and harness connector and the BAS and harness connector, and will reprogram the brake pedal sensor to correct these concerns.
The shift cable may fracture, which can mislead the driver into thinking the transmission is in a certain gear, while actually being in another. This can cause a safety issue, as when "Park" is selected, the vehicle may not be securely in "Park". Dealers will replace the shift cable assembly and mounting bracket free of charge to resolve the concern.
The vehicles being recalled are equipped with an electric power steering (EPS) assist system. The EPS can fail unexpectedly while driving. If this were to occur, steering ability would be maintained but much greater effort would be necessary to steer the vehicle, especially at slow speeds. One of four remedies will be applied depending on the model and year. Parts are not yet available so expect a second notification when they are.
