Jaguar X-Type Problems

Engine Oil Pan Gasket May Leak

The engine oil pan gasket can develop a leak. Leaking oil may accumulate on the exhaust system resulting in a burning smell. Replacing the gasket should correct this leak.

Transmission Failure Common

Premature automatic transmission failure is common. Diagnoses of the fault will be necessary to determine if repair or replacement is the proper repair.

Coolant Leak From Plastic Lines

The small plastic lines or tubes that carry the hot coolant to the radiator may become brittle and break. Coolant can leak out and cause the engine to overheat.

Even with over 150,000 miles it rides likes a dream and has some of the best handling I've seen from any luxury car. The AWD makes it ideal for any climate. The small price tag is perfect for a taste of the luxury life. While parts and maintenanc...

I love my X-type. It is the best car I have ever had. I have high miles and my husband has been able to fix most problems. Parts are high, but I am keeping this car till it can't go anymore!
