Gear oil is thicker than engine oil or transmission fluid and is formulated specifically for gearboxes, e.g. manual transmissions, transfer cases, and differentials.

Symptoms of a Bad or Failing Gearbox Oil

  • Abnormal noise from the affected component

Gearbox Oil Related Repair Advice

  • When replacing or adding any fluid, the recommended fluid type should always be used
  • Fluids should always be replaced at the manufacturer's recommended intervals. In cases of severe service, more frequent fluid replacement may be recommended.
