Gear oil is thicker than engine oil or transmission fluid and is formulated specifically for gearboxes, e.g. manual transmissions, transfer cases, and differentials.

- Abnormal noise from the affected component
Gearbox Oil Related Repair Advice
- When replacing or adding any fluid, the recommended fluid type should always be used
- Fluids should always be replaced at the manufacturer's recommended intervals. In cases of severe service, more frequent fluid replacement may be recommended.
