OBD-II Code 4-wheel drive system is disabled is defined as a Four Wheel Drive (4WD) Range Signal Circuit

The Four Wheel Drive Switch allows the driver to shift from 2-wheel drive to 4-wheel Low or 4-wheel high, depending on driving conditions. If the 4-Wheel Drive Switch sends back in implausible signal, code P279D will be set.
