What Does P2553 Code Mean?
OBD-II Code P2553 is defined as a Throttle/Fuel Inhibit Circuit Range/Performance
The Fuel Injector Control Module (FICM) monitors engine speed in relation to the power requested by the driver. If the engine speed gets higher than requested by the engine computer (PCM), the FICM will disable fuel going into the engine, causing the engine to shut off. Code P2553 will be stored. Additional codes may also be present and should be diagnosed and repaired first.
