OBD-II Code Decreased engine performance is defined as a Barometric Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit Low

The Barometric Pressure Sensor monitors ambient air pressure. Most manufacturers have this sensor integrated into the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) or the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The PCM compares this reading to other sensors to verify the Barometric Pressure Sensor's Calibration. If the PCM determines that the sensor has lost its calibration or voltage reading from the sensor is incorrect, the PCM will set code P2228.
