OBD-II Code High voltage system may not operate is defined as a Starter/Generator Control Module
The Starter/Generator Control Module is responsible for making sure the hybrid battery pack stays properly charged, controls the hybrid battery cooling system, and detects any malfunctions with the hybrid battery pack. The Battery Control Module runs a self-check to make sure it is capable of operating properly. If the Battery Control Module fails this self-check, the engine control module (PCM) will set code P0A1E.
