OBD-II Code P0860 is defined as a Gear Shift Control Module "A" Communication Circuit
The Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the engine computer (PCM) constantly talk to each other to ensure that the driver's request for performance is met. If the TCM and PCM fail to communicate, code P0860 is stored.
