OBD-II Code Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failure is defined as a Gear Lever X Position Circuit Low
The Gear Lever Position Sensor tells the engine computer (PCM) what gear the transmission is in. This sensor is usually built into the Shift Lever. If the Gear Lever Position Sensor gives the PCM an implausible signal, code P082B is set.
