What Does P0544 Code Mean?

OBD-II Code P0544 is defined as a Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit

The Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor tells the engine control module (PCM) the temperature of the exhaust gas coming out of the engine. High exhaust temperatures can lead to engine or turbocharger failure. If the PCM detects an incorrect signal from the EGT sensor, it will store code P0544.
