What Does P0524 Code Mean?

OBD-II Code P0524 is defined as a Engine Oil Pressure Too Low

The Engine Oil Pressure Sensor tells the engine control module (PCM) the engine oil pressure. When the Engine Oil Pressure Sensor tells the PCM the oil pressure is too low, it will set code P0524.The low oil warning light on the instrument cluster will also illuminated. The engine depends on oil pressure to lubricate and cool the engine. Continuing to drive with code P0524 set may result in engine failure.
