What Does P043E Code Mean?
OBD-II Code P043E is defined as a Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Reference Orifice
The Leak Detection Pump contains a reference orifice tube. This tube restricts airflow to create a difference of pressure in the EVAP system. If the Orifice tube becomes clogged with debris, the engine computer (PCM) will set code P043E. The orifice tube is replaced as a unit with the leak detection pump module/assembly.
