OBD-II Code Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failure is defined as a Charge Air Cooler Bypass Position Sensor "A" Circuit Low
The Air Flap Actuator restricts airflow through the charge air cooler. The engine control module (PCM) controls the Air Flap Actuator. If the PCM cannot control the actuator, it will set code P024E.The PCM may also disable the turbo or supercharger to prevent further damage to the system. The Charge Air Cooler Bypass Position Sensor is built into the Air Flap Actuator on most vehicles.
