OBD-II Code Decreased engine performance is defined as a Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit Intermittent/Erratic

Diesel engines uses an Intake Air Temperature Sensor to measure the temperature of the air going into the charge air cooler. If the engine computer (PCM) determines that the reading from the sensor is not plausible, code P0099 will set.
