P007F - OBD II Trouble Code

OBD-II Code Decreased engine performance is defined as a Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor Bank1/Bank2 Correlation

The Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensors tell the engine control module (PCM) the temperature of the air coming out of the charge air cooler assembly. The Charge Air Cooler Assembly cools the air coming out of the turbocharger before the air goes into the engine. If the PCM detects the temperature of the air coming out of the Charge Air Cooler is not plausible, the PCM will set code P007F.

  • Decreased engine performance
  • DPF regeneration may not occur

Common Problems That Trigger the P007F Code

  • Charge air temperature failure
  • Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failure
  • Wiring issue
