OBD-II Code Decreased engine performance is defined as a Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor Circuit Intermittent/Erratic
The Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensors tell the engine control module (PCM) the temperature of the air coming out of the charge air cooler assembly. The Charge Air Cooler Assembly cools the air coming out of the turbocharger before the air goes into the engine. If the PCM detects the temperature of the air coming out of the Charge Air Cooler is not plausible, the PCM will set code P007E.
