P0068 - OBD II Trouble Code
Our automotive experts have put together the following information about the P0068 diagnostic trouble code. We've provided the common symptoms that occur when this code is set along with the frequent repairs that address the issues related to the P0068 code.
What Does P0068 Code Mean?
OBD-II Code P0068 is defined as a MAP/MAF - Throttle Position Correlation
The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor tells the engine control module (PCM) how much pressure is in the engine manifold. The Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) tells the PCM how much air is actually flowing through the engine. The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) tells the PCM the position of the throttle plate. The PCM compares the Throttle Position Sensor reading to the MAF or MAP Sensor readings to validate the information from both the TPS sensor and the MAF or MAP Sensor. If the PCM determines that one or more of the sensors is reading incorrectly, it will set code P0068.
