    OBD-II Code Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failure is defined as a Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control "A" Circuit

    The engine control module (PCM) uses a Boost Control Solenoid to control the turbocharger and provide the requested amount of boost. When the PCM detects an incorrect signal from the Boost Control Solenoid, it will set code P004E.

    Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failure Symptoms

    • Engine may enter limp home mode (reduced performance)
    • Lack of boost from the turbo/supercharger

    • Boost control solenoid failure
