OBD-II Code Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failure is defined as a Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control "A" Circuit
The engine computer (PCM) uses a Vane Control Solenoid (also referred to as a boost control solenoid) to control the amount of boost from the Turbocharger. If the Vane Control Solenoid does not operate as commanded, code P0046 will set.
