Vibration When Braking Due to Rotor Problem
The front brake rotors can warp and cause a vibration when braking. The rotors will need to be machined or in cases where they are worn to thin, replaced to correct this issue.
Water Leak Due to Poor Seal at Side Marker Wire Harness
On certain models a leaking side marker light wire harness can cause a water leak inside the vehicle. Resealing the wire harness where it goes through the body into the cabin area should stop the leak.
Noise and Judder on Turns From Rear Axle
Noise and judder can develop from the rear axle due to differential fluid breakdown. Replacing the fluid will commonly correct this issue.
Low Beams Not Working Due to Poor Connection at Combination Switch
An overheated wire in the head light harness can cause the low beams not to work. Replacing combination light/turn signal switch switch, the wire for the low beams, and the combination switch connector (if damaged) should repair this issue.
Shim to Correct Chirping Timing Belt
A chirp noise from the timing belt area can be caused by a tilted idler pulley. Installing a corrective shim from Honda will commonly correct this issue.
Noise From Front Suspension Due to Worn Stabilizer Links
A knock or clunk type noise may be noted from the front suspension over bumps. This is can caused by worm stabilizer (sway) bar links. Replacing both stabilizer bar links will commonly repair this issue.
Engine Oil Leaks Due to Porous Engine Block Casting
The engine may develop and oil leak due to a porous engine block casting. The repair procedure is dependent on where the leak is located. Honda has released a service bulletin covering model year 2003. Honda may offer assistance with repairs, determined on a case by case basis.
Rough Idle/Harsh Shifting Due to Broken Front Engine Mount
A rough idle and harsh transmission shift can be caused by a broken front engine mount. Replacing the broken mount will address these issues.
Check Engine Light on due to faulty idle air control valve
On some models a faulty Idle Air Control (IAC) valve can cause an engine surge at idle and set a Check Engine Light (MIL). Replacing the faulty IAC valve will correct the problem.
Throttle May Stick Due to Carbon Buildup on Throttle Body
Carbon build up on the throttle body can cause a sticking throttle. Cleaning the throttle body will commonly repair this issue.
Replace rear brake pad shims to correct clunk
On certain models the rear pads can cause a clunk when first braking due to brake pad shims restricting pad slide. Replacing the brake pad shims will fix this problem.
