Front Shock Absorber

Shock absorbers dampen the shock the suspension receives when the vehicle is driven over rough or uneven road surfaces.

Symptoms of a Bad or Failing Front Shock Absorber

  • Vehicle may feel unsettled over bumps
  • Vehicle may continue to bounce more than normal after a bump
  • Knocking noises
  • Oil leaking from shock
  • Worn or damaged shock bushings
  • Uneven tire wear
  • Shock absorbers should be replaced in pairs, front and/or rear
  • Some shock absorbers also contain an air bladder, which can be used to adjust ride height either manually or automatically
