2007 Ford Edge Problems
Transmission (Red) or Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Brown) Fluid Leaks at Axle Area
A leaking axle shaft seal and / or PTU cover seal can cause transmission (red) or Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (brown) fluid leaks at the axle area. The axle shaft seal and / or PTU cover seal may be leaking and should be replaced as required.
Foam Seal Between Dash and Windshield Sliding Out
Bad adhesive can cause the foam seal between the dash and windshield to slide out. To correct, the windshield must be removed, and then remove and replace the foam with new parts.
Optional Bumper Protection Strip on Rear Bumper Bubbles
Faulty installation or adhesive can cause the optional bumper protection strip on rear bumper to bubble. The strip on the bumper cover should be replaced.
Hard shift out of park
when shifting from park the vehicle has a loud clunk that can be felt by the driver. Took vehicle to dealer. They replaced two speed sensors. Be warned, they will not fix it if there aren't any trouble codes.
