Some vehicles may develop a musty odor coming from the HVAC system, Dodge has issued a cleaner/disinfectant and a coating for the evaporator designed to inhibit bacterial growth.

The sunroof may open only to the vent position and close, or it may open to the vent position and get stuck. This may occur after the sunroof was operated at high freeway speeds, which applies excessive force to the sunroof mechanism. The sunroof mechanism will need to be disassembled and reassembled, replacing mechanism parts as needed.

The engine may stumble occasionally during wide-open-throttle acceleration (full throttle). This may not occur frequently enough to set a Check Engine (MIL) light. The spark plugs (spark plug insulators) and spark plug wires should be inspected for deterioration and carbon tracking; resistance in the spark plug wires should be checked as well. New spark plug wires from Dodge are a revised design and any defective spark plugs need to be replaced.

The ignition key may become difficult to remove on models with a tilt steering wheel. Make sure the gear shift lever is in "Park" and sometimes placing the steering wheel in the lowest position helps with key removal. The shift interlock cable, that connects the shifter to the steering column, may need adjustment.
